Instamart, specifically the Swiggy Dineout division, is seeking an Account Manager for their Kolkata, India operations. This role requires employees to work from the office on all days. The Swiggy Dineout team is dedicated to building India's largest dining out platform, empowering diners to explore diverse restaurant categories and access significant discounts on dining bills through the Swiggy app. This mission seeks to transform the way India experiences dining out.

Role Summary: The Account Manager will be responsible for onboarding and cultivating relationships with 70-80 partner accounts within their assigned territory. The primary objective is to grow the Dine-out business and service offerings, aiming to generate 80-90 lacs in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) per month. Specific partner and revenue targets will be tailored to India 1 and India 2 markets and assigned geographies.

Responsibilities:

  • Account & Partner Relationship Management: Onboard new accounts, maintain strong relationships with existing partners, ensure accuracy of Restaurant Display Page (RDP) content and image coverage, present the benefits of Dine Out plans and promotions to drive monthly growth and consistent partner investment. Execute growth initiatives including offer alignments and marketing operations for planned events and activities. Resolve issues such as diner denied payouts to ensure seamless transactions. Develop growth plans for managed accounts and gather competitor insights.
  • Data Interpretation & Business Performance Management: Utilize the restaurant-facing dashboard to analyze key performance metrics and communicate insights to partners. Collaborate with partners to optimize RDP views for increased conversions and business growth. Monitor competitor investments through point-of-sale observations and industry conversations. Ensure partner investments in discounts, commissions, and advertisements meet or exceed competitive levels by presenting data-driven inferences and highlighting benefits.
  • Interaction With Stakeholders: Liaise with partner support teams for inquiries related to discount changes and RDP. Collaborate with sales operations for competitive analysis and festival data. Interact with the finance team for reconciliation of payouts, GST queries, and addressing outstanding credits to partner accounts.

Functional Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of Dine Out offerings and growth levers.
  • Proficiency in basic metrics such as operating hours, Ads Revenue Per Order (Ads RPO), and Commission Revenue Per Order, including constituents like Average Order Value (AOV).
  • Familiarity with data dashboard elements (CMS/PowerBi/Compass/Salesmate).
  • Advanced understanding of the Conversion Funnel, including weekly/monthly/daily transactions, denial rates, and supply metrics in comparison to competitors.

Desired Skills:

  • Graduates with 1.5-3 years of field sales experience. Fluency in local language and working knowledge of English are essential.
  • Solid experience in e-commerce activities and online marketing channels.
  • Possess a confident, pleasing, and proactive personality with strong sales aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with diverse individuals.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Flexibility to adapt to non-traditional working hours, as restaurant owners may not adhere to a 9-to-5 schedule.
