Iteris, Inc. is actively seeking a high-performing Account Executive to spearhead sales and ensure customer success within the mid-market public sector across Texas, with a specific focus on the DFW and surrounding areas. This pivotal role involves managing a blended quota encompassing hardware, software, and services. You will be instrumental in promoting our cutting-edge intelligent transportation solutions to public agencies, engineering firms, and regional partners. This is a remote opportunity based in Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead and execute go-to-market sales strategies within assigned accounts in North Texas.
- Develop and meticulously manage a sales pipeline to consistently exceed quota and provide accurate forecasts.
- Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with Departments of Transportation (DOTs), Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), counties, cities, consultants, and channel partners.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, customer success, and partner teams to deliver comprehensive hardware, connected vehicle, and cloud-based solutions.
- Navigate and manage complex sales cycles through specification, procurement, and funding stages.
- Provide detailed sales forecasting and maintain high-level opportunity hygiene within Salesforce.
- Lead or actively support partner engagements with representatives, distributors, and resellers to broaden regional coverage and market penetration.
- Maintain a consistent cadence of customer meetings, product demonstrations, insightful presentations, and effective post-sales engagement.
- Communicate valuable market feedback and emerging trends to cross-functional internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for building and nurturing customer relationships, with a proven ability to earn trust, influence decisions, and skillfully navigate public sector procurement processes.
- A minimum of five (5) years of sales experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in transportation, infrastructure technology, or public sector SaaS/hardware sales.
- Demonstrated success in managing sales quotas and consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets.
- Proven experience in navigating government procurement procedures, understanding funding sources, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively across departments, including engineering, product management, and customer success teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Prior experience selling Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic sensors, analytics software, or SaaS solutions to the public sector is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with key Texas-based transportation and planning agencies such as TxDOT, CAMPO, or NCTCOG.
- Experience with indirect sales models or partner-led sales motions, particularly within a dealer/distributor framework.
