About the Role: Web Accessibility Engineer at Apple IS&T EMEIA CoE

Your Mission

• Evaluate & Remediate: Perform hands-on accessibility evaluations of web applications using established testing methodologies (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVD).
• Document & Advise: Clearly document findings and contribute actionable recommendations to ensure inclusive experiences are built from the ground up.
• Collaborate Globally: Partner with product, design, and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle to embed accessibility standards.
• Innovate Tools & Training: Contribute to team tooling, standards, and training materials as you grow your expertise in consulting.

What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• Experience: 1-2 years in web accessibility and front-end engineering.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with screen readers like VoiceOver, JAWS, or NVDA and associated testing methodologies.
• Education/Equivalency: Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field OR equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• A genuine eagerness to independently learn new technologies and accessibility best practices.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• The ability to manage tasks across multiple workstreams within a high-paced environment.
