Academic Research Writer

About the Role: The Academic Research Writer at Research Ramp will be responsible for drafting, refining, and reviewing academic manuscripts, literature reviews, and research papers aimed for high-impact journal publication. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to enhance clarity, structure, and argumentation of research documents while adhering to specific journal guidelines (Scopus, WoS, SCI/SSCI).
• Conduct rigorous literature research, critically analyze sources, and synthesize complex information into structured narratives.
• Edit for language, style, grammar, and ethical compliance; check plagiarism meticulously.
• Ensure proper citation using APA, MLA, Chicago, or Vancouver styles using reference management tools.
• Support authors in responding to peer review comments and aligning manuscripts with target journal requirements (including formatting).

Requirements:

• Masters degree or PhD preferred in relevant disciplines such as Engineering, Medical/Health Sciences, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Management, Social Sciences, or Humanities.
• Demonstrable experience preparing research articles and scholarly manuscripts for international publication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within strict deadlines.
