Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AB Initio Software Engineer to join our esteemed data engineering team in Pune. In this pivotal role, you will design, develop, and maintain complex ETL processes using the AB Initio suite, ensuring seamless data integration and high-performance pipelines. Your responsibilities will include creating and optimizing data integration graphs, collaborating with data architects and analysts, and troubleshooting technical issues to uphold data accuracy and reliability. This position is critical for enabling data-driven decision-making across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement advanced ETL processes using AB Initio (GDE, EME, Conduct>IT).
- Develop and maintain high-performance data integration graphs and plans.
- Optimize AB Initio processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work with diverse data sources (files, databases, APIs) and formats (XML, JSON, flat files).
- Collaborate with data architects and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in ETL processes.
- Adhere to best practices in code development, testing, and documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AB Initio development.
- Strong expertise in AB Initio suite (GDE, EME, Conduct>IT).
- Proficiency in SQL and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with various data formats (XML, JSON, flat files).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other ETL tools.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with scripting languages like Python.
- Knowledge of Data Quality and data governance principles.
