3D Modeler

About the Role

3Dome Labs is seeking an experienced 3D Modeler specializing in creating models for real-world production. This role focuses on physical products, prototyping, and manufacturing—not VFX, gaming, or architectural visualization.

Your Impact

You will create clean, detailed 3D models that are optimized for scale, wall thickness, print orientation, supports, surface quality, assembly, and material limits. Your work moves directly from software to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed models for physical products, props, prototypes, and industrial parts.
• Convert sketches and concepts into printable 3D geometry using industry-standard tools (Blender, Fusion 360, Rhino, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Optimize files for printability: ensuring watertight meshes, correct tolerances, strength against breakage, and proper part separation.
• Collaborate with production teams to refine models based on test prints and feedback.
• Maintain organized source files exporting in STL, OBJ, STEP, or 3MF formats.

Required Skills

• Strong practical experience preparing models specifically for FDM/SLA/SLS printing.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing constraints: wall thickness, supports, post-processing (sanding/painting), and assembly requirements.
• Able to troubleshoot non-manifold geometry, thin walls, and bad topology before production begins.

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with small-batch production for collectibles, toys, or lifestyle products.
• Familiarity with post-processing techniques like coating and polishing.
