2D Animator

About the Role

Gamecrio Studios Pvt Ltd is seeking a talented 2D Animator to join our creative team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This full-time position is perfect for an artist with a passion for bringing characters and game worlds to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Create exceptional 2D animations for characters, environments, and user interface elements.
• Design and implement dynamic UI animations, transitions, and motion graphics to elevate user experience.
• Collaborate closely with game designers, UI/UX artists, and developers to seamlessly integrate animations into our game engine.
• Develop compelling animation concepts, storyboards, and animatics.
• Ensure all animations align with the game's unique visual style and brand guidelines.
• Optimize animations for peak performance on mobile devices.
• Incorporate feedback and adapt animations to meet project requirements and iterate effectively.
• Actively contribute to refining animation workflows and pipelines across various projects.

What We're Looking For

• 2-3 years of professional experience in 2D animation, with a preference for mobile or casual game development.
• A solid grasp of animation fundamentals, including timing, spacing, squash & stretch, anticipation, and other core principles.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Experience with animation tools like Spine, Unity Animator, or comparable software.
• Familiarity with game engines, particularly Unity, is a plus.
• A strong sense of motion, attention to detail, and the ability to tell stories visually.
• The capacity to quickly adapt to diverse art styles and evolving project demands.

This is an in-person position located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
