The Vehicle Systems Software Engineer will develop models, simulations, and software tests for flight software embedded in launch vehicles, spacecraft, and other mission-critical space systems. You will conduct comprehensive analyses of software within CubeSats, satellites, and vehicle dynamics using high-fidelity hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testbeds. Key responsibilities include: - Modeling sensors, actuators, and vehicle dynamics for simulator development. - Designing and executing tests to support on-orbit anomaly resolution and day-of-launch mission assurance. - Delivering objective technical assessments of flight software safety and readiness. - Developing tools that enhance analysis capabilities in Linux/Unix environments. You will work with Python, Java, C/C++, and version control systems. This full-time onsite role (with occasional travel) offers mentorship for new grads or those entering the field.
