Celestica is seeking experienced and passionate software engineers for its Hardware Platform Services team in Guindy, Chennai, India. This team is at the forefront of designing and developing cutting-edge Cloud Hardware infrastructure, encompassing Compute, Storage, AI servers, and Networking Switches. As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will be instrumental in defining and delivering state-of-the-art Cloud Infrastructure products.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and provide comprehensive technical solutions that span across the entire system.
• Design and implement drivers and application software to power next-generation CPU and GPU systems for Data Centers.
• Develop, augment, and maintain software libraries that support computing on CPU and GPUs.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering their technical skills and problem-solving approaches.
• Review and ensure the quality of code being integrated into production systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
• A minimum of 15 years of overall professional experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in C/C++ and other low-level programming languages, with a strong background in embedded systems.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience with technologies such as Device Drivers, PCIE, I2C, BIOS, BMC, Secure Boot, and Linux Kernel.
• At least 8 years of experience in hardware bring-up, validation of low-level interactions, and troubleshooting/resolution of hardware/software interfaces.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of articulating requirements and solutions effectively to diverse audiences through written documentation (e.g., architecture specifications) and verbal presentations in technical forums.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the core components of CPU, DPU, memory, and NICs.
• Experience in designing and developing low-level software to enable Data Center hardware.
• Prior experience with GPU libraries like CUDA and ROCm is considered a significant advantage.

Work Environment

This position is based in a standard office environment. Duties may involve extended periods of sitting and focused visual concentration on computer monitors or detailed data. Repetitive manual movements, such as data entry or using computer peripherals, are frequent. Occasional travel may be required.
