Applications using built-in device microphones, low-quality earbuds, or Bluetooth devices may be rejected as our project has high standards. We collect studio-grade recordings; therefore, a wired USB or XLR microphone in a soundproof room is mandatory.

About the Role

Babel Audio is seeking professional Telugu (Standard/Hyderabad dialect) voice actors for a solo performance project. Your performances will be used to train AI systems to understand human emotions and express them naturally. This role requires natural expression of various emotions tailored to specific scenes.

Sample Scenarios

• A bride bidding emotional farewell to her family on her wedding day.
• A father overwhelmed with emotion holding his newborn child for the first time.
• A shepherd protecting their goats upon seeing a wolf in the distance.
• A doctor delivering bad news about a patient's death to family members.
• An athlete emotional after reaching the finish line years of training later.

Each recording session lasts under one minute. You can choose scripts that suit you and work at your convenient time.

Who Can Apply?

• Native-level proficiency in Standard Telugu (Hyderabad dialect).
• Experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, audiobook recording, or similar fields.
• Able to deliver compelling voice performances across various emotions and styles.
• Capable of working independently by correctly interpreting scene details with minimal guidance.

Compensation

Rates range from $60-$150 USD per recorded hour, depending on your country. Additional performance-based incentives may apply to qualified candidates.

Required Setup

• Voice Quality: Clear and consistent voice quality is essential.
• Microphone: External microphone preferred (USB or XLR acceptable). Built-in, wireless, and Bluetooth microphones are not approved.
• Recording Environment: A quiet room with no background noise. Sound treatment or soundproofing required; echo must be avoided.
• Hardware: Computer is mandatory for recording. Mobile phones or tablets cannot be used.
• Internet Connection: Stable high-quality internet connection needed.
• Acknowledgement Filter: Pop filter or foam wind screen strongly recommended.
