Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Workday Security Analyst to join our team in Bengaluru, India. This role is pivotal in optimizing and supporting Workday security configurations specifically for our Finance operations, ensuring robust alignment with business processes and overarching strategic objectives. The analyst will be responsible for the design, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of security roles, domain policies, and business process permissions within Workday. Key responsibilities include vigilant monitoring of security risks, active support for audit processes, and close collaboration with functional leads to guarantee that security measures meet stringent operational and compliance requirements. Furthermore, this position involves proactive issue resolution, driving continuous improvements, and upholding effective user access governance.
Essential Duties
- Lead the analysis and design of Workday security roles, domain access, and business process permissions for Finance.
- Manage day-to-day Workday security operations, including role assignments, access reviews, and incident resolution.
- Monitor security risks, conduct regular audits, and provide comprehensive support for internal and external audit requests.
- Define and meticulously document security requirements for enhancements and process improvements.
- Support testing, deployment, and post-release validation for all Finance security changes.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and change management initiatives focused on secure system utilization.
- Undertake other duties as assigned, supporting additional initiatives and responsibilities as needed to advance organizational goals.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (required).
- Workday Certified - Financials, Security (preferred).
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) (preferred).
Technical/Soft Skills
- Proven ability to analyze and document backend system information.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of Workday security structures.
- Experience with domain security, business process security, and role management.
- Ability to analyze and document complex security models and access logic.
- Proficiency in audit processes and risk controls.
- Knowledge of defect tracking and change management processes.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of Accounting and core Finance processes.
- Experience working effectively with third-party vendors and technical teams.
Experience
- Two to four years of general Workday experience or specialized Workday security experience.
- A minimum of five years of business analysis experience in a technical environment.
Leadership Skills
- Experience leading teams for large or complex projects (required).
