We are Hiring: Python Engineer – Security Automation Platform

BluOcean Cyber is seeking a talented Python Backend Engineer to join our team in India (Remote/Hybrid). This is a 1-year contract position with the potential for full-time conversion. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in building security automation platforms, including APIs, integrations, and automation flows.

What You'll Work On:

• Design and build scalable Python backend services
• Develop REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask
• Build SaaS and cloud API integrations
• Develop webhook and event-driven workflows
• Implement OAuth2/JWT authentication flows
• Build data ingestion and normalization pipelines
• Develop automation and remediation workflows
• Integrate AI/LLM-based automation where useful

Example Problems:

• Integrating multiple SaaS security platforms
• Building reliable API connectors
• Normalizing security telemetry data
• Automating remediation workflows
• Building AI-assisted alert triage pipelines

What We Are Looking For:

• 3+ years of Python backend development experience
• Strong experience building REST APIs and webhooks
• Experience with FastAPI or Flask
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Solid understanding API design and frameworks
• Solid understanding of SDLC with Docker and Git workflows
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases

Nice to Have:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS etc.)
• Experience integrating SSPM/SIEM/SOAR platforms
• Experience with async and event driven architecture
• Experience with AI/LLM APIs, Agent codex etc.
• Understanding of cyber security, application / cloud security frameworks
