Technical Lead - Teamcenter and Digital Manufacturing

Vestas is seeking a Technical Lead to spearhead the development and administration of Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite and related digital manufacturing tools. This role, based in Chennai, India, is pivotal in Vestas' digital transformation, focusing on Industry 4.0 and Product Lifecycle Management. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with product owners and architects to define technical roadmaps and deliver impactful features.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical development and system administration for Siemens Teamcenter Manufacturing Suite, Process Simulate, and other digital manufacturing tools.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects to define technical roadmaps.
• Drive development activities across Teamcenter modules, including customizations, configurations, and workflow creation.
• Manage Teamcenter administrative tasks: installation, configuration, user access, workflow management, patching, and optimization.
• Support and integrate simulation tools like Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, and NX within the Teamcenter environment.
• Lead implementation of new features, integrations, and system upgrades.
• Ensure integration and interoperability between Teamcenter, ERP (e.g., SAP), MES (e.g., Apriso), and other enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
• Actively contribute to system upgrades, performance improvements, and issue resolution.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with IT security standards.
• Stay current with advancements in digital manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of experience with Siemens Teamcenter in manufacturing.
• In-depth knowledge of Teamcenter architecture and development.
• Strong experience with Teamcenter installation, server configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Solid working knowledge of Siemens Technomatix tools, especially Process Simulate.
• Familiarity with Plant Simulation, VisMockup, NX.
• Experience with 3D model/data conversion and management.
• Exposure to Autodesk FlexSIM is an added advantage.
• Experience with PLM/ERP/MES integrations (Windchill, SAP, Apriso).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and DevOps.
• Experience with version control systems and agile development.
