Team Leader - Tractor Supply Company - Sayre, PA
Tractor Supply Company in Sayre, PA is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our team. We are committed to enriching the lives of our customers and team members. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in achieving operational, sales, and merchandising goals, while fostering a safe, productive work environment and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure regular and predictable attendance and work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
- Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by adhering to and enforcing all policies and procedures.
- Deliver "Legendary Customer Service" through our GURA model: Greet, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Product Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate the Customer.
- Execute merchandising activities, including basic, promotional, and seasonal displays.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the store.
- Handle bank deposits and transportation.
- Assess store conditions and assign tasks to team members.
- Organize and prioritize workflow using daily planning tools.
- Manage merchandise recovery and presentation.
- Participate in mandatory freight processing.
- Conduct price changes, both regular and promotional.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues to ensure a positive and differentiating shopping experience.
- Adhere to loss prevention standards and respond to alarm calls.
- Communicate job functions, responsibilities, and financial goals to team members.
- Operate the cash register and computer, supervising cash handling.
- Assist team members with policy and procedure application.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of birds, including sanitizing holding tanks and providing care.
- Operate Forklift and Baler safely and efficiently.
- Complete all necessary documentation for job duties.
- Obtain required licenses or certifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Retail experience and/or knowledge in farming, ranching, pet/equine care, or welding is strongly preferred.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to read, write, and count accurately, regardless of education level.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.
- Ability to perform and execute the core responsibilities of a Team Member.
