Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a talented Systems Engineer for its ELSYS division. This role involves leading and coordinating technical teams on critical systems projects, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and management of complex engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to define and refine technical requirements, contributing to cutting-edge research and development. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, systems engineering product life-cycle management, design synthesis, technical documentation, and analysis of product functionality. Specific tasks involve designing and analyzing aircraft modifications for test aircraft, supporting other engineers, and producing technical data for approval authorities and fabricators. A strong background in structural design, mechanical integration, and CAD proficiency is essential. Experience in areas such as cable design, mechanical component design, systems test, data analysis, or structural stress analysis is highly valued. Excellent communication skills and the ability to obtain a security clearance are mandatory. This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive benefits package.
