Systems Administrator

Platform Accounting Group, a rapidly expanding professional services firm in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role is crucial for supporting our multiple offices with robust systems, hardware, software, and security management. You will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships and implementing innovative infrastructure solutions. Key responsibilities include Microsoft 365 tenant administration and migrations for new firm acquisitions, comprehensive system administration for Windows servers and desktops, LAN/WAN configuration, and supporting acquisition-related migrations to cloud solutions. You will manage vendor services, cloud environments, and software solutions, oversee asset and capacity management including hardware inventory and procurement, and assist in developing and documenting systems processes. Maintaining network security applications, deploying and managing firewalls, and providing light end-user support to the Service Desk are also vital. The role requires staying current with industry knowledge and developing technical skills through continuing education. This position involves assisting with cloud-based VoIP deployments, working overtime and after-hours as needed, and traveling to various US locations. Physical requirements include the ability to lift at least 50lbs and work in tight spaces for tasks like wiring under desks. This is a full-time, hybrid position with a salary range of $95,000 - $105,000 per year.
