System Security Senior Engineer/Staff

About the Role

Join Qualcomm's Hardware Security Team as a Security System Engineer in Bengaluru. You will contribute to cutting-edge technologies across Artificial Intelligence, Laptops, IoT, Mobile, Automotive, Wearables, and XR/VR. This role is pivotal for achieving product security certifications, a crucial aspect for building customer trust, showcasing security capabilities, meeting regulatory requirements, and ensuring high levels of security assurance.

You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of expert hardware and security engineers, driving the development and certification of Qualcomm's diverse product portfolio. Your focus will be on developing robust and scalable methodologies, software vectors, test benches, and tools to support key security standards and regulations, including Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), Security Evaluation Standard for IoT Platforms (SESIP), Common Criteria, Global Platform, and the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). Collaboration across system architects, hardware designers, production test engineers, security analysts, and certification engineers will be essential.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in low-level software development using C, C++, and Assembly.
• Strong understanding of ARM and RISC-V processors.
• Experience debugging software and hardware systems using Lauterbach Trace32 and Practice Scripts.
• Proven experience in developing embedded software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong debugging capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in post-silicon validation.
• Knowledge of security protocols, including hashing, symmetric, and asymmetric cryptography.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and port software across various chipset families.
• Experience in developing test methodologies for validating security architecture and engineering designs against security certification requirements.
• Proficiency in leveraging lab instrument automation and experience working in a lab environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
