Join HDR in Glen Allen, VA, as a Substation Civil / Structural EIT/Designer, contributing to critical electrical substation projects. This role involves developing comprehensive engineering drawings, precise calculations, and robust designs for low, medium, and high voltage substations. You will collaborate with a talented team, transforming design sketches and redlined drawings into detailed fabrication-level steel and foundation construction drawings that adhere to national standards, safety codes, and project specifications. Your responsibilities will extend to site visits throughout the design, construction, and as-built phases, ensuring project integrity. Opportunities may also arise to contribute to technical papers and presentations, showcasing HDR's expertise at industry events. A commitment to our employee-owned culture and a proactive approach to project reviews are essential. Some travel may be required for this full-time, onsite position.
