Senior Front End Engineer - Remote (India)

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front End Engineer to significantly contribute to the development and evolution of our consumer brands' measurement and optimization tools. This is a hands-on technical leadership role within a cross-functional squad. You will drive high-quality UI delivery while shaping the foundational front-end architecture to ensure our products are fast, accessible, and scalable.

Working closely with engineering, product, design, and marketing teams, you will translate complex business needs into intuitive web experiences. Your contributions will include architectural decisions, establishing robust front-end patterns, and expanding our design system and component library. Mentoring teammates, upholding engineering excellence, and ensuring reliable, performant improvements through rigorous testing and modern development practices are also key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

Product Delivery & UI Engineering

• Design and build new web applications and features that power core measurement and optimization experiences.
• Deliver interactive, responsive web interfaces using Angular + TypeScript, maintaining a high standard for usability and quality.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to transform concepts into well-structured solutions, utilizing prototypes for validation.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, estimation, and execution to help the squad achieve consistent outcomes.

Front-End Architecture & Design Systems

• Develop and extend a scalable, code-based design system and internal component library for consistent application across products.
• Establish and adhere to component-based architecture patterns that enhance reuse, maintainability, and consistency.
• Assess the technical implications of design decisions, proposing pragmatic alternatives that preserve intent while reducing complexity.
• Identify and propose solutions for technical debt to improve long-term development velocity and stability.

Performance, Quality, and Accessibility

• Optimize front-end performance (rendering, bundle size, caching, runtime behavior) crucial for data-heavy experiences.
• Ensure strong cross-browser compatibility and adherence to WCAG accessibility standards.
• Integrate with various testing services and frameworks, including unit, integration, functional, and E2E coverage.
• Improve system reliability through instrumentation, debugging, and disciplined release practices.

Collaboration, Communication, and Mentorship

• Collaborate effectively across engineering, product, design, and marketing to align on tradeoffs and achieve outstanding results.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers through pairing, code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders, proactively identifying risks and proposing solutions.
• Embody and strengthen the team's cultural values: ownership, curiosity, and craftsmanship.

Ideal Experience

• Minimum of 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 6+ years focused on modern JavaScript web applications.
• Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (Angular preferred; React/Vue experience also valuable).
• Strong experience with component-based architecture, reusable UI patterns, and building/maintaining design systems.
• Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and developing polished UIs for complex workflows.
• Deep understanding of web performance optimization, browser rendering behavior, and debugging techniques.
• Experience managing complex state using tools like TanStack (familiarity with other state patterns/tools is a plus).
• Strong grasp of accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility best practices.
• Expertise with front-end testing strategies and frameworks (unit, integration, E2E).
• Experience with modern build tooling and delivery practices: CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployment workflows.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development practices (code reviews, trunk/branch strategies, etc.).
• Familiarity integrating with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL and working effectively with backend partners.
• Working knowledge of cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and modern deployment/containerization concepts is a plus.
• Strong communication, an ownership mindset, and the ability to influence outcomes across disciplines.
