About the Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join Renesas' industry-leading Digital Power IC development team within our prominent Infrastructure Power Management product line. As a key member, you will develop customer-facing software to support major datacentre operators and infrastructure hardware developers utilizing our advanced digital power control devices.

The Role: Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to contribute to our SoC development team. You will be responsible for creating software that showcases and enables our IC product capabilities, directly impacting the customer experience. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively across hardware and software boundaries, utilizing multiple languages and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust software solutions for both internal teams and external customers.
• Collaborate closely with customers, application engineers, system engineers, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Actively contribute to existing and new software projects, leveraging your expertise in Python, Java, React, JavaFx, and Kotlin.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Java.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design principles, behavior-driven development (BDD), and unit testing.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective cross-cultural communication skills, proactive clarification, and clear communication across international teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electronics fundamentals, microcontroller programming, and bus communications.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab.
• A proven track record of creative problem-solving and innovative approaches.
