Software Development Engineer - I (Frontend)

About the Role

As our SDE- I (Frontend), you will play a crucial role in crafting an exceptional product experience for our users. You will focus on building responsive web designs and implementing effective web UX patterns. Collaborating with fellow engineers, you will create delightful user experiences, deeply understand customer pain points, and diligently resolve them. A key responsibility will be ensuring the consistency and high quality of our product.

What you will do

• Conceptualize and build user interfaces that foster customer trust.
• Develop efficient applications and abstractions to empower our team in building powerful workflows.
• Take full ownership of the product, proactively identifying and addressing bugs.
• Implement necessary changes, and when required, undertake complete product rewrites.
• Ensure the technical scalability of UI/UX designs.

What you will need

• A Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in building and shipping user-facing products.
• Familiarity with responsive web design, common Web UX patterns, and anti-patterns.
• A discerning eye for good design.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code that facilitates collaboration.
• Mastery of DOM manipulation (including jQuery) and a solid understanding of components.
• Significant hands-on experience with ES6.
• Knowledge of browser behavior, performance optimization, compatibility, and cross-browser issues.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools like Git.
• Proficiency in advanced CSS, animations, and responsiveness.
• Basic architectural and design skills.
• Expertise in strong coding practices, data structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to take end-to-end responsibility from requirements to release.
• Capability to produce bug-free, production-grade code.
• Proficiency in debugging, including identifying page speed and performance bottlenecks using tools like Chrome Dev Tools and React Dev Tools.
• Working knowledge of frontend frameworks and tools; NodeJS and ReactJS expertise is a bonus.
