Full Job Description
The Credit & Risk Solutions (C&RS) team, part of S&P Global's Market Intelligence group, is seeking a Software Developer for the Financial Risk Analytics (FRA) division. FRA provides information-centric capital markets and risk solutions for trading desks and their risk business partners, aiding in risk regulatory compliance. Our UI products address counterparty credit risk, xVA, and market risk for both buy-side and sell-side firms. This role involves building applications, services, and working with databases and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement applications and services.
- Participate in system architecture and design decisions.
- Continuously improve development and testing best practices.
- Interpret and analyze business use-cases, translating feature requests into technical designs and development tasks.
- Take ownership of development tasks, participating in regular design and code review meetings.
- Focus on delivery and contribute to the successful implementation and evolution of technology products in close coordination with product managers and colleagues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in Python, Java/Scala.
- Experience with relational or time series databases.
- Experience using RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Git.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with test frameworks (e.g., Jest, Jasmine, Playwright).
- Familiarity with Agile and XP methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, TDD).
- Experience with AWS services (CLI, CloudFront, S3).
