Texas Instruments (TI), a premier semiconductor company, is actively seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our Smart Manufacturing and Automation (SMA) Quality & Test organization in Dallas, Texas. This exciting internship offers hands-on experience in cutting-edge projects focused on enhancing manufacturing quality and test operations through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and sophisticated workflow automation. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to critical initiatives, gaining valuable industry experience in a dynamic semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop AI-powered automation workflows leveraging Large Language Model (LLM) platforms and agentic frameworks.
- Build robust data analytics dashboards and APIs to support critical manufacturing quality decisions.
- Create and refine prompt engineering solutions tailored for diverse manufacturing use cases.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify new automation opportunities and implement ML-driven solutions.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of test automation frameworks aimed at improving efficiency and minimizing manual effort.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Demonstrated programming experience in Python or a comparable language.
Preferred:
- Prior experience with AI code generation platforms such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, or familiarity with LLM APIs.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Exposure to agentic AI frameworks including LangChain, AutoGPT, CrewAI, or the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or other scripting languages commonly used for automation.
- Experience with data visualization tools or dashboard development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals across various departments.
- Comfortable navigating and thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
