Senior Software Engineer

Flexera, a leader in Hybrid ITAM and FinOps, seeks a Backend Developer to join the Cloud Compute team. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, API-driven, and database-centric web applications to support internal teams and provide powerful customer controls. Responsibilities include developing new features and microservices, writing design documents, researching technical solutions for scalability, debugging complex issues, and integrating with technologies like MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, and AWS services. Collaboration with DevOps, SRE, and other development teams is crucial. Required qualifications include strong software engineering fundamentals, 3+ years of backend development experience, and proficiency in object-oriented programming, with experience working with databases. Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with Java and Spring, experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with AWS services, and Agile environment experience.
