Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Golang)

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Golang) at SentinelOne, you will be a key contributor to our Endpoint Protection services, working on the backend infrastructure that protects our customers' environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support robust backend systems for our main product line, Endpoint Protection.
• Feature Design and Documentation: Take ownership of designing new features and creating documentation.
• Database Schema Design: Design efficient database schemas to support new and existing features.
• Backend Service Development: Develop and maintain backend services using Go and Python. Create RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless interaction between the backend, front-end, and other systems.
• Integration: Integrate with various cloud services (AWS, GCP), databases (Postgres, MongoDB), messaging systems (Kafka), and caching solutions (Redis).
• Feature Support and Validation: Provide support during the feature validation cycle.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance and scalability.
• Requirement Translation: Understand product requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to deliver and maintain high-quality features.
• Customer Communication: Communicate with customer care and support teams.
• Code Quality and Maintenance: Write clean, maintainable code.
• Innovation and Creativity: Explore new solutions and technologies.

What We're Looking For:

• Several years of hands-on experience with Python and/or Go, or similar.
• Experience with large-scale high-load distributed systems performance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or other cloud platforms.
• A plus would be experience from a SaaS company.
