Senior SFCC Full Stack Engineer - Remote (India)
Join Saxon Global as a Senior SFCC Full Stack Engineer, a remote opportunity based in India. We are seeking an experienced professional to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions. This role is pivotal for engineers with strong backend expertise, profound knowledge of modern JavaScript ecosystems, and a proven track record in building high-performance, service-oriented systems for web and mobile commerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems utilizing Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) in a production environment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including frontend, mobile, DevOps, and product to ensure seamless end-to-end solution delivery.
- Contribute to significant architectural decisions, emphasizing performance and scalability for commerce platforms.
- Act as an escalation point, ensuring platform stability, reliability, and optimal performance through on-call rotations.
- Lead and mentor fellow engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and champion engineering best practices within an Agile environment.
- Optimize system performance by monitoring, profiling, debugging, and tuning APIs, services, and databases.
- Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using technologies like Node.js, Express, and Apollo.
- Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes within AWS environments.
- Maintain rigorous source control with Git and adhere to CI/CD best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, maintaining high standards for documentation and coding.
Technical Skills & Requirements
- High proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js / Express.
- Proven experience designing RESTful and GraphQL APIs (Apollo preferred).
- Extensive experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) or similar enterprise commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
- Practical experience with containerization technologies: Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working effectively within AWS cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of Git and modern version control workflows.
- Experience with database technologies such as Postgres and Redis.
- Proficiency in performance profiling and tuning methodologies.
- Comfort and expertise with command-line tools.
Experience Level Guidelines
- Senior Developer (6+ Years): Requires 6+ years of backend or full-stack development experience, strong hands-on SFCC expertise, and the ability to independently manage complex features and mentor junior engineers.
- Lead Developer (8+ Years): 8+ years of full-stack web development experience with proven team leadership and architectural design ownership.
- Mid-Level Developer (3+ Years): 3+ years of backend development experience with working knowledge of SFCC or other commerce platforms and Agile team experience.
