Qualifications
Experience Level: Senior Level
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Reliability Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in reliability engineering, ideally within consumer electronics or wearables
- Deep understanding of hardware reliability principles across electro-mechanical components, plastics, metals, and assemblies
- Experience designing and executing HALT, HASS, accelerated life testing, and other reliability methodologies
- Strong skills in statistical analysis, reliability modeling, and root cause analysis
- Demonstrated success working with suppliers and test partners globally, including in Asia and Mexico
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their impact on product reliability
- Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Engineer (Hardware) to play a pivotal role in ensuring our hardware products consistently deliver exceptional, high-reliability experiences to our members. This critical position will influence the entire product lifecycle, from initial design and development through to mass production.
As our Senior Reliability Engineer, you will own and drive our reliability strategy across New Product Introduction (NPI), Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT), and Continuous Improvement (CI) programs. You will define and execute comprehensive reliability plans, including rigorous risk assessments, detailed test protocols, thorough data analysis, and informed decision-making at key program milestones. Your ability to translate complex test data into actionable insights, such as accurate AFR estimations, will be crucial in collaborating with our product, design, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to guide product development and release decisions.
You will lead in-depth root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions for both field and test failures, continuously enhancing product design and supplier maturity. A key aspect of this role involves standardizing reliability protocols and partnering closely with global suppliers and testing labs to guarantee consistency, data integrity, and adherence to the highest reliability standards. Your cross-functional collaboration skills will be essential as you work with diverse teams and geographies, acting as a technical authority on reliability considerations for new designs, materials, and manufacturing processes.
