Senior Java Backend Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra. At Capco, you will contribute to transformative projects within the fintech sector, designing and developing robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems. You will leverage Java and Spring Boot, adhering to principles like Clean Code, TDD, DDD, Hexagonal Architecture, and immutability. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining secure backend services, participating in technical architecture definition, implementing solutions following software engineering standards (Clean Code, SOLID, TDD, CI/CD), contributing to code improvement through reviews and refactoring, engaging in agile ceremonies, and collaborating with stakeholders. We value technology watch and knowledge sharing.

Experience and Required Skills:

• Minimum of 8 years of backend development experience on complex, high-performance systems.
• Proven experience in agile delivery using frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Experience in financial sector projects is a plus.
• Strong command of Java and frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring Security, Spring Data/JPA.
• Solid understanding of software design best practices: Clean Architecture, DDD, design patterns, modularity.
• Experience with JPA and data access optimization.
• Good knowledge of distributed architectures, REST APIs, error handling, and service resilience.
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud deployment principles (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
• Excellent soft skills including autonomy, rigor, responsibility, attention to detail, team spirit, and effective communication.
• Fluent in English.
