About the Job
Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
- Lead the development of detailed highway designs, drawings, and technical reports in accordance with ME standards and client specifications.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of deliverables that meet internal quality assurance and client expectations.
- Provide technical oversight and support to junior engineers and technicians.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical governance across the Roads & Highways portfolio.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with ME project managers and technical leads to align design outputs with project goals and timelines.
- Support resource planning, forecasting, and project reviews within the GCC India team.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to WSPâs Business Management System, including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Information Security protocols.
- Participate in internal audits and implement corrective actions where required.
- Promote Safety by Design principles across all deliverables.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a key technical interface between GCC India and ME Roads & Highways teams.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Represent GCC India in technical meetings and contribute to knowledge-sharing forums.
Team Development
- Mentor junior staff and support their progression toward professional accreditation.
- Share technical expertise and promote a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
- Identify training needs and support upskilling initiatives within the team.
Qualifications
Education & Accreditation
- Masterâs degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (e.g., ICE, CIHT) or actively working toward accreditation.
Experience
- 7 - 10 years of experience in highway design and project delivery, including at least 3 - 5 years supporting ME projects (onshore or offshore).
- Proven track record in managing technical aspects of large-scale highway projects.
- Familiarity with ME design standards and relevant software tools (e.g., Civil 3D, ACC, Blue BIM).
