Full Job Description

Liberty Mutual Insurance, a Fortune 100 company, seeks a highly skilled Equipment Breakdown Risk Control Consultant. This critical role involves conducting essential boiler and pressure vessel inspections across New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont. You will perform detailed internal and external inspections of boilers, pressure vessels, steam and hot water systems, combustion equipment, and associated piping and controls. Responsibilities include conducting non-destructive testing (ultrasonic thickness, magnetic particle, dye penetrant), evaluating combustion efficiency, assessing water treatment and chemistry, and verifying compliance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, NBIC, and other regulatory standards. You will prepare accurate inspection reports, recommend and inspect repairs, and coordinate with owners, contractors, and regulatory authorities. This position requires staying current on industry best practices and code updates. Candidates must be comfortable with potential exposure to noise, heat, confined spaces, and industrial environments, requiring the use of personal protective equipment. After-hours or emergency inspections may be necessary. This is a full-time, remote position requiring regular travel within the designated service area.
