Full Job Description

Boston Children's Hospital, a premier pediatric healthcare institution in Boston, MA, is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Research Coordinator to join their innovative Computational Health Informatics Program (CHIP).

In this vital role, you will be instrumental in coordinating complex clinical research projects, meticulously managing data collection, and ensuring all study activities seamlessly integrate with clinical workflows to ultimately enhance the care provided to children.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators to design, develop, and implement clinical research projects, including enrollment strategies, study materials, and documentation.
  • Oversee the daily operations of research studies, establishing and refining processes to meet study goals and protocol requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for study personnel.
  • Prioritize and manage the work of administrative and support staff involved in clinical study activities.
  • Obtain informed consent from patients and families for research studies, providing comprehensive details about the Clinical Study and addressing all inquiries.
  • Evaluate the suitability of prospective study candidates based on clinical knowledge and study criteria.
  • Contribute to the update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the drafting of new quality documentation.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practice guidelines for various clinical research protocols.
  • Present and prepare training materials as part of sponsored educational initiatives.
  • Provide analytical, data management, and methodological support to Principal Investigators for the development of clinical research protocols and data management tools.
  • Manage data for single and/or multi-institutional investigations.
  • Develop and implement study-specific data management and quality assurance procedures, monitoring their execution through site visits and data review.
  • Partner with Principal Investigators and lab members to plan analyses, clean and verify data, and prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Potentially assist in grant writing, preparing new applications for research funding, and managing ancillary study grants.
