Senior Claims Specialist

Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC (ISC), a dynamic, growth-stage commercial MGA and insurance wholesaler, is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist. This role is critical in managing complex or high-exposure construction defect claims, ensuring strict adherence to company policies and legal standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and adjust complex construction defect claims, identifying and resolving coverage issues.
• Draft reservation of rights and coverage denial letters for review.
• Conduct thorough investigations by securing statements and essential documentation (contracts, cost estimates, expert reports, photos, correspondence).
• Meticulously document all claim activities within the claim files.
• Exercise sound judgment in applying legal liability and manage settlements within authorized limits.
• Assign and direct defense counsel, independent adjusters, and experts.
• Proactively identify and report claims exceeding assigned authority to supervisors.
• Evaluate, establish, or recommend claim reserves.
• Prepare comprehensive written reports according to company policy.
• Ensure claims handling complies with Fair Claims Practices (790.03).
• Provide timely status updates to insureds, claimants, underwriters, and carriers.
• Discuss unique and complex claim scenarios with supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent claims management experience.
• Active individual adjusting license for a designated home state; willingness to obtain additional licenses as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• 5+ years of construction defect claims management experience is preferred.
• 10+ years of litigation management experience is preferred.
