Sr. Backend Developer Role at Greeka.com
We are seeking a Senior Node.js Backend Developer with 5+ years of experience in the Travel Industry, specifically with Hotel, Car Rental, or Ferry Booking API integrations. This is a full-time, remote position.
As a Sr. Backend Developer, you will develop and maintain the server-side logic of our website and applications, including designing and implementing APIs. You will also check the achievements of junior developers, optimizing backend systems, and collaborating with the frontend team. We currently have a team of 15 developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js.
- Design and implement APIs (internal and 3rd party).
- Optimize backend system performance.
- Collaborate with frontend and backend teams.
- Oversee deliverables of junior developers.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and server-side JavaScript.
- Experience with Nest.js, Fastify or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of Travel APIs.
- Experience with microservices.
- Knowledge of AMQPs (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Nats).
- Knowledge of database technologies (MongoDB or Postgres SQL).
- Experience with API design and development (REST/SOAP).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Angular.js, Next.js).
- Understanding of version control (Git).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
