Senior Accountant

ProspectBlue is seeking a Senior Accountant for a client opportunity in Richmond, VA. This vital role supports the Director of Corporate Accounting and is instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring strict adherence to U.S. GAAP, and upholding internal accounting policies within a dynamic and growing organization. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and generating financial statements. This position involves cross-functional collaboration to support lease accounting activities, manage fixed assets, and contribute to other core accounting functions. Additionally, the role will assist with audits, financial reporting, and the enhancement of internal controls. A key aspect of this position includes contributing to process improvements, system enhancements, and the successful implementation of new accounting standards.
