Senior Accountant - Management Company

Gen II Fund Services, a premier independent global private equity fund administrator located in New York, NY, is seeking a talented Senior Accountant. This role is pivotal in managing accounting projects for diverse private equity sponsors, with a strong emphasis on financial accounting and comprehensive reporting. Responsibilities include detailed cash transaction processing and reconciliation, fixed asset and prepaid expense accounting, payroll accounting integration, and active participation in the accounts payable review process. The Senior Accountant will contribute to the monthly accounting cycle by preparing journal entries for accruals and equity-related activities, and will be instrumental in generating financial statements, footnote disclosures, and supporting workpapers. Regular interaction with client finance teams, including CFOs and Controllers, is expected. Additional duties encompass assisting with the annual Form 1099 process, new client onboarding, ad-hoc projects, and liaising with external auditors and tax accountants. We are looking for an analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and 3+ years of relevant business accounting experience, preferably within a management company or client-facing accounting role in the private equity sector, are essential.
