Security Engineer II

As a Security Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase in Hyderabad, Telangana, you will be instrumental in developing secure software solutions. You'll work within an agile Cyber Security and Technology Controls team, ensuring software meets functional requirements while preventing misuse and malicious activities. This role involves designing, developing, and troubleshooting multiple software components, with opportunities for skill development and career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement standard security solutions following established playbooks to meet the security needs of internal clients.
• Write high-quality, secure code in at least one programming language with minimal supervision.
• Utilize specialized tools, such as vulnerability scanners, to analyze incident data, assess threat probabilities and impacts, and identify specific vulnerabilities.
• Support the delivery of continuity-related awareness, training, and educational programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts with over 2 years of practical experience.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and React JS, coupled with experience with any relational database.
• Basic experience in developing security engineering solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to code in one or more programming languages.
• Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Exposure to agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices.
• Solid understanding of information and network security, IT risk management, and architectural concepts.
• Proficiency with specialized tools for incident data analysis, such as vulnerability scanners.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with MongoDB.
• Experience with Camunda 7/8 Workflow.
