- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent, Inspector, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Construction Manager on similar size construction projects involving high voltage work
- Demonstrated experience in hazard identification and safety compliance
- Strong working knowledge of construction practices, testing standards, and documentation requirements
- Ability to coordinate across multiple project phases and communicate effectively with project stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital documentation systems
- Must pass a mandatory drug test
- Valid driver's license
Full Job Description
Potelco, Inc., a subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc., is seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Manager for our project in Hubbard, Oregon. This role is pivotal in overseeing the project's comprehensive Quality Control program, ensuring strict adherence to contract requirements and safety standards. The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for coordinating all inspections, managing documentation, and ensuring quality assurance across all major trades involved in our power infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading QC Program Kick-Off, Preparatory, and Initial Phase Meetings.
- Active participation in weekly Project Coordination Meetings.
- Collaborating with BPA and project stakeholders to guarantee fulfillment of all contract specifications.
- Implementing and overseeing the project's Quality Control Plan throughout all construction phases.
- Reviewing and approving product substitution requests per contractual obligations.
- Maintaining and updating as-built drawings and comprehensive job site record sets.
- Verifying that proposed equipment and materials align with contract documents and are suitable for installation.
- Managing the preparation, submission, and re-submission process for project submittals.
- Maintaining an accurate Submittal Log and tracking all correspondence with BPA and subcontractors.
- Conducting thorough inspections of received materials against approved submittals.
- Confirming proper control procedures for required tests and ensuring testing methodologies meet contract standards.
- Ensuring all recording forms, test identification systems, and documentation are complete and properly filed.
- Recording and reporting test results (both passing and failing) in the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Report.
- Performing and documenting follow-up inspections to resolve any deficiencies before final inspection.
- Coordinating and verifying readiness for final inspections, ensuring all corrective actions are completed.
- Proactively identifying potential hazards and ensuring strict compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Partnering with project leadership to uphold Potelco’s 'People First' safety culture and maintain safe work practices.
This is a full-time, onsite position in Hubbard, OR.
