Rize (rize.farm) is seeking a user-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to ensure the quality of its Agri-Tech platform. This role involves ensuring sustainable rice cultivation and improving farmer livelihoods in Asia. The company, backed by Temasek, Wavemaker Impact, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, and GenZero, focuses on collecting agricultural data for climate-resilient farming, increasing yields, and facilitating access to finance. This QA Engineer will be a part of the team building a platform to manage field operations, capture cultivation logs, manage supply chains, and aggregate third-party services for paddy fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and design test strategies.
• Report and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Develop, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure product quality.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on testing outcomes.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer in software development.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.

Must Have Skills:

• Analyzing requirements, identifying test scenarios, and developing detailed test cases.
• Strong experience in executing manual test cases and identifying defects.
• Proficiency in documenting test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Clear and concise in reporting bugs, writing test cases, and communicating with developers and stakeholders.

Good to Have Skills:

• Familiar with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit or similar.
• Experience in writing automated test scripts and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries to validate data and perform backend testing.
