QA/QC Coordinator

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is looking for a dedicated Full-time QA/QC Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of our electrical projects. You will be responsible for developing quality assurance standards, meticulously monitoring corrective actions, and ensuring strict compliance with all project specifications and company safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and revision of Quality Assurance standards and continuous improvement evaluations.
• Identify non-conformances and initiate corrective/preventive action reports.
• Monitor corrective actions and diligently verify the closure of all quality issues.
• Maintain accurate and organized QA/QC documentation and records.
• Report quality performance metrics to management.
• Coordinate inspections, tests, and audits at various project stages.
• Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, company standards, and applicable codes/regulations.
• Perform onsite inspections of equipment and installations.
• Work proactively with the Project Team to ensure all installations are completed correctly from the outset.
• Participate onsite with the Project Team in performing all inspections and reporting.
• Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and customer Safety policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2-5 years of recent electrical (industrial or commercial) construction experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Solid understanding of electrical construction standards, equipment, and installations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction disciplines.
• Proficiency in computer programs such as EXCEL and WORD.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check (post-offer) and MVR check if responsibilities involve operating motor vehicles.
