QA - Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks (primarily Playwright) to ensure high product quality across web, mobile, and API layers in Chennai.

Responsibilities:

1. Test Automation & Framework Development
   • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright.
   • Build and execute automated tests for:
     • Web UI (cross-browser, responsive)
     • APIs and backend services
   • Convert functional and regression test cases into reliable, maintainable automation scripts.
   • Ensure high test coverage with minimal flakiness.
2. CI/CD & Engineering Integration
   • Integrate Playwright test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
   • Enable fast feedback for developers on every build.
   • Analyze test failures, improve test stability, and reduce false positives.
3. Test Strategy & Quality Ownership
   • Define and execute automation strategies aligned with product architecture.
   • Participate in sprint planning, story reviews, and acceptance criteria definition.
   • Advocate shift-left testing and automation best practices.
4. Defect Management & Collaboration
   • Identify, log, track, and validate defects.
   • Work closely with developers to debug issues and verify fixes.
   • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
