Job Overview

We are hiring a dedicated QA Engineer for our SaaS product in Hyderabad, India. You will work closely with the Engineering team and Product team to ensure every release meets quality standards and user expectations.

Your role focuses on two key areas:

  1. Testing & Validation: Own functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing. Validate each feature against acceptance criteria, verify edge cases, and ensure issues are caught before production.
  2. Quality Ownership: Create and maintain a structured regression pack, log high-quality bugs with clear repro steps and evidence, verify fixes, and help improve the teams overall testing discipline and release confidence.

This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, comfortable in technical discussions, and who enjoys building repeatable QA processes for a fast-moving product team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand product requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing for web releases
  • Validate user journeys across roles, permissions, and subscription/plan flows
  • Test APIs used by the web app (basic request/response validation and error handling)
  • Log bugs with clear reproduction steps, evidence (screenshots/videos), and environment details
  • Partner with developers and PM to triage issues, verify fixes, and prevent regressions
  • Maintain a lightweight release checklist and sign-off process for deployments
  • Ensure test coverage across browsers and responsive layouts (desktop/tablet/mobile views)

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Must have previous experience working within an Agile/Scrum team.
  • Must have a background in Testing (QA) or Development. We are looking for someone who understands software build cycles and common failure points.

Technical Skills

  • Strong manual QA for web applications (test design, exploratory testing, regression strategy)
  • Web fundamentals: HTTP/HTTPS, cookies/sessions, status codes, browser devtools
  • API testing using Postman/Insomnia (auth, headers, pagination, common error codes)
  • Basic SQL for validating data and state changes (selects, joins, counts)
  • Familiarity with test management/defect tracking tools (Jira/Linear + basic reporting)
  • Basic automation awareness; hands-on is a plus (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium basics)
  • Understanding of CI/CD basics and environments (dev/stage/prod, feature flags)
  • Cross-browser testing experience (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and responsive testing
  • Nice to have: basic security testing awareness (RBAC checks, OWASP basics)

Core Competencies

  • Quality-First: You spot edge cases and advocate for a great user experience.
  • Process & Detail: You maintain clean test cases, regression packs, and clear test evidence.
  • Tech-Literate: You use devtools/logs and can discuss APIs/auth with developers.
  • Clear Communicator: You report bugs and risks crisply in stand-ups and triage.
  • Proactive Ownership: You investigate, follow up, and drive issues to closure.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Professional development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work with a high-performance global technology team.
