Boston Scientific, a global leader in medical technology, is seeking a Manufacturing Line Coordinator for our 2nd shift operations in Carlsbad, CA. This role is crucial in coordinating and supervising production activities on the manufacturing line for life-changing medical devices. You will play a key part in ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are upheld, and efficient operations are maintained within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily activities on the manufacturing line to achieve production targets and schedules.
- Optimize production efficiency by allocating manpower and materials effectively.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality control procedures and standards throughout the production process.
- Perform regular quality checks and promptly address any issues or deviations.
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of all production activities, maintaining records in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Implement and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other applicable regulations.
- Train and guide manufacturing personnel on equipment operation, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness among team members.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials and components to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to maintain an efficient supply chain.
- Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot real-time production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Uphold a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Stay informed on industry regulations and standards to maintain compliance.
- Generate and report on performance metrics and KPIs to track manufacturing line performance.
- Communicate production status and issues regularly with management.
- Utilize the Fishbowl ERP System for inventory tracking and production work order closure.
- Perform equipment setup for production and meticulously document activities in Device History Records (DHR).
- Support the supervisor with router preparation and hazardous material handling/disposal.
- Contribute to Cleanroom 5S activities.
- Serve as backup for the Production Supervisor during absences.
