The Product Owner I will work autonomously as a lead and mentor others within their area of expertise. They will partner with senior management to support the delivery of the product vision, continuously re-prioritizing user stories to maximize customer or end-user value. Regular alignment with senior management on the product delivery roadmap, Minimum Marketable Features (MMF), Minimum Viable Products (MVP), and release cadence is essential. Performance analytics will be reviewed to recommend and champion strategies for enhancing the customer or end-user product experience. Participation in scrum or Kanban events, such as stand-ups and retrospectives, is expected, with opportunities to share new ideas for improving product value or delivery efficiency with leadership. Proactive engagement with business process partners is required to ensure customers or end-users are prepared for application changes and to establish Day 2 operational processes. The Product Owner I will oversee user story design, development, and completion, accepting or rejecting user stories based on the agreed-upon Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria. They will manage delivery initiatives, potentially overseeing multiple development team backlogs, and proactively raise issues impeding efficient customer-focused increment delivery. Defect management and prioritization are key responsibilities, along with adherence to enterprise frameworks and methodologies. Continuous strategic alignment with senior management and feedback provision are critical. Development team and stakeholder feedback will be integrated into backlog management, facilitating discussions among stakeholders with competing priorities. Understanding the internal business and technical environment, and proactively defining, aligning, or integrating with relevant stakeholders and shared services is paramount. The Product Owner I will lead the submission and discussion of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for their product and proactively manage business stakeholders to obtain necessary inputs for product development. The Product Owner I is empowered to make product delivery decisions, escalating to senior management when appropriate. Clear communication to business, technology, and senior management regarding product changes and backlog priorities is a core function. They will serve as the single point of escalation for the development team, providing guidance and decisioning. Collaboration with peers to reinforce Agile processes and compilation of performance metrics for relevant stakeholders are important. Defining Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) in partnership with various stakeholders across the organization is a key task.
