Qualifications
Experience Level: Senior Level
- Bachelor's degree in a technical / engineering discipline, or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with manufacturing processes, tooling, quality control methods and statistical process control (SPC)
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
- Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team members
- Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead team
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
- Must possess a working knowledge of advanced technical problem solving tools
- Ability to read, interpret and understand engineering documents, technical standards, design specifications, GD&T and PFMEA/FMEA

FCA, a leading manufacturing company in Toledo, OH, is seeking a dynamic Process Improvement Manager. This role is critical for overseeing all manufacturing processes within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will lead a team of Quality Engineers and Process Product Specialists, focusing on driving initiatives in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale. Your primary objective will be to champion continuous improvement solutions across the plant, ensuring robust support for production teams. A deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, including electrical, mechanical, and torque alignment, is essential. You will be instrumental in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and key area indicators (KAIs) related to product and process quality, safety, delivery, and cost. A core responsibility involves ensuring your team effectively resolves defects stemming from process (Method) and material (Product/Parts) issues, thereby driving sustained improvements. This position supports all facets of production, emphasizing lean manufacturing principles and standards. You will also be responsible for assigning Process Observation Audits (POAs) based on First Time Capable (FTC) metrics, Throughput, and Customer Feedback Audit (CFA) priorities.
