NEOGOV is seeking a dedicated Pre-Licensed Clinical Therapist to join the Community Crisis Response Team for the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health. In this vital field-based role, you will provide immediate crisis intervention and essential mental health/substance abuse services to individuals experiencing crises throughout San Bernardino County. You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of community stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support and response during critical events.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver on-site crisis response services 365 days a year, between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Engage in the initial phases of disaster response efforts as a representative of the Department of Behavioral Health.
Provide direct, one-on-one crisis intervention services at the location of the individual in need.
Foster strong collaborations with law enforcement, educational institutions, other Behavioral Health programs, and individuals and families across all age groups and demographics.
Respond to county-wide disasters and critical incidents, offering brief crisis intervention and essential therapeutic tools.

Qualifications:

Must hold an active intern registration number with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an AMFT, ACSW, or APCC (within six years of initial BBS registration).

Preferred Qualifications:

Fluency in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, and/or Vietnamese is highly advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in areas such as government or private inpatient settings, psychiatric hospitals, behavioral health clinics/programs/contract agencies, or serving persistently mentally ill clients is beneficial.
Experience in child/adolescent and family therapy.
Experience providing crisis intervention or brief therapy for adults and children with severe mental illness.
Experience in quality assurance or utilization review activities.
Experience in intensive care coordination with physical healthcare providers for severely persistently mentally ill clients.
Experience in case management for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
Experience coordinating care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders.
Experience in transitional care coordination for individuals with medical complexity or severe persistently mentally ill adults and children, bridging inpatient and outpatient care.
Experience working with detained youth and incarcerated adults in correctional settings, or with probationers/offenders recently released from correctional facilities.
