Qualifications
Experience Level: Entry Level
- High School Diploma or GED
- General math skills and ability to read tape measure and blueprint
- Have adequate knowledge of the English language to be able to read pour sheets and set up directions and be able to communicate with other members of the crew
- Be an authorized forklift operator or be capable of learning the skills of operating a forklift
- Be experienced in operating overhead crane-ways (Wells Concrete will train employees without experience)
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally
- Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently
- Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently
- Possession of valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle

Join Wells, a leading design and construction company focused on exceptional client experiences in Ashland City, TN. We are seeking a skilled Patch & Finish Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our products meet stringent quality standards through meticulous finishing and necessary repairs before delivery to job sites.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely navigating and working from various elevated platforms, including forms, pieces, trailer decks, and work platforms.
- Efficiently transporting materials required for finishing and repairing panels and products.
- Proficiently utilizing a range of hand tools and power tools, such as cut-off saws, grinders, and drills.
- Demonstrating knowledge and/or experience working with a gas/acetylene torch.
- Operating company forklifts; training is provided for those without prior experience.
- Performing concrete work, including pouring, leveling, and finishing.
- Operating overhead crane-ways; training is provided for those without prior experience.
- Possessing or developing knowledge of proper rigging and safe product handling techniques.
- Acquiring or possessing skills in sandblasting and water-blasting for finishing work.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Solid general math skills, with the ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
- Proficiency in English to read pour sheets, follow setup directions, and effectively communicate with crew members.
- Ability to become an authorized forklift operator (training available).
- Experience with operating overhead crane-ways (training available).
- Physical capacity to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous tasks including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive/frequent hand and forearm use.
- Capacity to remain mobile for up to 12 hours daily.
- Comfort and ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts at varying heights frequently.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
