About the Open Source Developer Role at AGS-Lab
We are seeking an Open Source Developer to contribute to Tailor, an open-source, modular AI chat client. Tailor allows users to build custom assistants by integrating models and tools.
Tech Stack & Architecture:
- Backend: Rust + Tauri
- Sidecar/Plugins: Python
- Frontend: JavaScript / Vite
- Environment: Pixi
Responsibilities (Unpaid):
- Contribute code to an early-stage codebase that requires major reworks.
- Develop robust Python plugins and refine Rust event routing.
- Ship features and fix bugs independently.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Rust, Python, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of system architecture and local LLM integrations.
- Ability to read source code and solve problems independently.
