Multi-Site Environmental Manager, Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) - Shepherdsville, KY

Amazon is seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Site Environmental Manager to join our Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team, supporting Operations across the vital Midwest Region. This role is crucial for developing and implementing robust environmental standards and policies, ensuring seamless regulatory compliance, and managing multiple operational sites to uphold adherence to all environmental laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute multi-site environmental management to ensure compliance with air emissions, storm water, waste management, wastewater discharge, and other environmental regulations and permits, including all required Federal, State, and local reporting.
• Manage and ensure business conformance with Amazon EAP Management Systems policies. Develop Geo-Specific Operational Environmental Procedures by collaborating with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
• Lead interactions with regulatory agencies, manage permit evaluations and processing, and facilitate the introduction of new processes and technologies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies, representing Amazon effectively with governmental bodies and internally across the company.
• Ensure all work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees meets regulatory requirements and Amazon's high environmental standards.
• Monitor key environmental metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Conduct comprehensive and accurate environmental inspections and audits to drive ongoing enhancements.
• Effectively prioritize and manage multiple complex technical assignments concurrently.
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders to proactively identify and manage environmental risks.
• Compile and submit time-critical reports to various governmental agencies accurately and on schedule.
• Lead environmental incident investigations, prepare associated regulatory reports, and develop effective corrective actions.
• Ensure site leadership and associates are thoroughly trained and knowledgeable of their environmental responsibilities under all applicable policies.

What You'll Need:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or a similar relevant field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in leveraging technology and implementing Lean Principles/Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
• A Master's degree or equivalent advanced education.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional certification.
