Full Job Description

JPMorganChase, a venerable financial institution with a legacy of innovation, is seeking a Payments Sales Associate to support our Marketplaces and Digital Ecosystems segment. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Payments Sales Managers and Payment Client Managers to cultivate client relationships and craft bespoke payment solutions for our corporate clients. This is an onsite, full-time opportunity in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Sales Managers in the orchestration of complex, cross-functional, and regional deals. This includes supporting new bid processes, coordinating with product partners for solution development, constructing pricing and profitability models, contributing to RFP/RFI submissions, and preparing essential client research and pitch materials.
  • Cultivate an in-depth understanding of client requirements, including third-party money flows, payment model intricacies, and global payout mechanisms.
  • Develop comprehensive account plans, briefing memos, and actively support relationship reviews in conjunction with the client service organization. Gain a thorough understanding of client account structures, cash flow dynamics, product utilization, and global operational setups.
  • Forge robust relationships within client organizations, anticipating client needs and challenges, and proactively engaging relevant J.P. Morgan Payments partners to devise holistic solutions.
  • Manage the coordination and negotiation of KYC and onboarding documentation, internal credit processes, and facilitate seamless integration with implementation partners. Escalate issues as necessary to meet client needs while effectively managing expectations.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of transactional data to identify key trends, risks, and pricing/billing inefficiencies. Perform pricing analysis and propose strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and innovative mindset, identifying new avenues to advance team-wide initiatives and serving as the client's advocate in cross-functional engagements, ensuring alignment with broader firm-wide interests and client objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cash management, transaction banking, merchant acquiring, or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex issues into clear and concise conclusions.
  • A goal-oriented approach with a demonstrated capacity for fostering innovation and creative problem-solving.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and planning abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities concurrently and maintaining meticulous attention to follow-up and coordination.
  • The ability to effectively mobilize internal networks and resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
