Join Magna International, a leader in mobility technology and automotive innovation. We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Intern for Summer 2026 in Troy, MI. This role offers a valuable opportunity to support our NA MES team by assisting with program modifications, generating reports and dashboards, and contributing to project management initiatives. You will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with defined processes and tasks for the NA MES team, including program modifications.
- Contribute to the generation and modification of reports, dashboards, and business intelligence (BI) outputs.
- Support existing MES support processes through review and active participation.
- Facilitate changes and improvements to collaboration sites.
- Author, review, and update essential documentation.
- Take ownership of a dedicated project focused on exploring and integrating new technologies into our MES solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clearly define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring all milestones are achieved and the project remains on schedule.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- Previous academic instruction in IT-related fields such as application development, databases, and report building.
- A foundational understanding of programming languages and software development concepts.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a strong eagerness to learn.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and robust problem-solving abilities.
- High School Diploma.
- Currently enrolled in a College or University program.
Preferred:
- Completed 2 or more years of study at a College or University.
- Proficiency in computer operations and skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities in specific technology areas.
- Prior coursework or working knowledge in programming/development.
- Prior coursework or working knowledge in database design and concepts (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
- Prior coursework or working knowledge in report creation/modification tools (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI).
- Prior coursework or working knowledge with collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint).
- Familiarity with AI-powered tools and platforms for enhancing productivity and development (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude).
